07:47 pm - 20 Random Facts About Robert Scorpio The next in what promises to be a long series. Disclaimer: there may be brief deviations from canon, mainly due to the fact that I was not born when Robert Scorpio made his first appearance on the GH canvas. However, he is one of my favorite men on said show, therefore I couldn't resist. :)
1. No matter what his brother may think, he does love his family above all else. Why the hell else would he put up with Malcolm?
2. He loves his job, but sometimes he wishes he could just be a normal man, sitting on his front porch with his wife and watching the sun rise.
3. He had that once, with Holly. He's never told her, or anyone, that he wished it had been Anna.
4. When he told Robin that he loved her mother beyond reason, he realized that that was a serious understatement. And Anna knew. He saw it in her eyes.
5. Working with her was both his favorite and least favorite thing. She was so stubborn, but hell if he didn't find that attractive.
6. He did love Holly; he really tried to build a life with her. It wasn't her fault she wasn't Anna.
7. And damn it, why did everything in his life have to come back to that bloody woman?
8. He had never been more frightened in his life than that moment in which he realized that Robin was his daughter. He had no idea how to be a father.
9. He adored that girl. She was the most amazing mix of he and Anna, their best and worst qualities, and he hated himself for missing out on so much of her life.
10. He despised Frisco Jones. That man had two incredible daughters, and he had voluntarily walked out of their lives. Not to mention leaving Felicia, who Robert knew still loved Frisco with all her heart. No one had held a gun to Frisco's head, or threatened to kill his little girls if he contacted them. He couldn't understand how someone could do that.
11. And yes- he had done it, but even if Anna and Robin never believed him, what he had told them was true. He had done it to keep them safe. Because that was more important to him than anything. Anything.
12. He sees every day what Frisco leaving has done to Maxie, and he thanks God that Robin was able to believe that he was dead, so that that didn't happen to her.
13. He wanted more children than just Robin. He had planned on telling Anna so, but then everything happened with Faison and they missed their chance.
14. If he could go back and change things, he wouldn't. Because then his incredible daughter wouldn't be the amazing woman and doctor she was today.
15. Besides, he could always get Anna to fall in love with him again. He hoped.
16. The first time he held little Robbie, he cried. He wasn't the least bit ashamed to admit it. And Robin had never been more beautiful than when he saw her holding his grandson.
17. Despite how he acted, he really kind of loved Patrick Drake for the way the boy loved his little girl. He still had to give him a hard time, though. He had a reputation to maintain.
18. He and Mac were beginning to rebuild their relationship, but Robert knew his brother didn't trust him. Not completely. Years of the people he loved leaving him had hardened Mac's heart against that, and Robert wished he could change that for him.
19. If he had three wishes, he would wish for Robin's trust, an Aston Martin Vanquish, and Anna.
20. Despite everything that had happened with them, Robert knew in his heart (and yes, he did have one) that he and Anna could, and would, make it work. One day.
